Welly walk  (Preschool room only)- Once a week we hold our own “Welly Walk” where the children on a certain day (every term we change our welly walk day to make sure each child is given the opportunity to join in) participate in a planned outdoor experience at The Lickey Hills. During our visit, we encourage the children to explore the outdoor environment by looking for different types of minibeasts, leaves, to collect twigs to make a den and to also follow the nature trail walks around the hills.

Local walks- (All rooms)

The children enjoy walks around the local area close to nursery to look for signs, animals and points of interest.

Library- (Toddlers and Preschool Room)

We visit the library frequently to share our favourite stories with our friends and borrow books to enjoy at nursery.

Planned Trips (toddlers and preschool room only)

We transport the children using Castle Nursery Limited’s minibus and vehicles to visit our chosen place of interest. These are usually trips to celebrate events throughout the year i.e. Farm trip for Easter, visit to Father Christmas.
