Perryfields Pre-School
In our Pre-School room, your child’s happiness, health, and well-being is our upmost importance. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, caring space where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and finding comfort from us when needed. We believe in learning through play, with lots of curiosity and laughter.
We focus on building self-confidence and independence to enable your child to become a confident learner and to thrive in their next stage of their learning adventure. Through stories, dancing, acting, and following each child’s interests, we encourage them to make choices and take the lead in their activities.
Our visits to Burcot Care Home are a favourite, bringing joy to both children and residents as they share stories, sing, and participate in activities together.
Outdoor adventures are also part of our week! Children enjoy exploring nature with visits to the Lickey Hills and local walks, discovering sights, sounds, and smells with excitement and curiosity.
In our home-like environment, children can grow, learn, and feel at ease. Activities we love include:

Science – sinking and floating experiments, frozen bug rescue.

Cooking – measuring, chopping with child-safe tools.

Sign language – learning signs to support communication.

Self-care – choosing and preparing snacks, dressing for P.E, shoes etc..

Speech support – developing vocabulary with WellComm activities.
